Pen Portrait Akin Akintola
I became a Local Committee Member of the School in March 2013.
I came to this role from a finance and management background with experience at both the strategic and operational levels which challenge/ support leadership teams to implement effective change for improving performance through pre-agreed achievable quality standards.
I have a deep interest and some experience in:
- a) aspects of imparting knowledge and education
- b) benchmarking, monitoring (evidence based), implementation and evaluation to improve standard/change
- c) community development through participation.
Over the last couple of years (in addition to having connection with the area through the Holy Trinity Church), I have enjoyed my time on the committee as a member of the school’s strategic leadership team with emphasis in the application of financial governance to ensure the HT C&E Primary School remains accountable to the community it was set up to serve.
I have also tried to use my experience to support the staff to ensure the school achieves all it can, to allow pupils and the school community at large to develop to their fullest potential and make critical early year’s choices in an excellent structured and loving learning environment.
